Fairtrade is about fair prices, good working conditions, sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Companies pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price) and an additional amount, the Fairtrade Premium, for social and environmental projects. Purchasing from Midwinter USA means adding value to your sustainable and ethical supply chain.
Our cooperative has been certified fair trade and organic in several countries within the Americas, Europe, and the UK.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic
Organic certification addresses a growing worldwide demand for organic food. It is intended to assure quality and prevent fraud, and to promote commerce. While such certification was not necessary in the early days of the organic movement, when small farmers would sell their produce directly at farmers' markets, as organics have grown in popularity, more and more consumers are purchasing organic food through traditional channels, such as supermarkets. As such, consumers must rely on third-party regulatory certification.

Veganism is a way of living that seeks to exclude, as far as possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing and any other purpose
